Other Planets

So, a few years back, a ridiculously huge cinema complex called “Cinema City” opened up two towns over.
It was gigantic, biggest one in Israel, tons of stores, and statues of Dinosaurs out front.
It wasn’t long before a competing complex opened up across the street, about as huge, featuring nearly 30 theaters, an IMAX and a variety of restaurants and cafes overlooking the local amusement park. The new monstrosity’s name was “Yes Planet”.

When I first visited Cinema City I was in shock and awe. the sort you get when you see Las Vegas or the skyline of New York for the first time. It was much much bigger than any cinema I’ve ever seen before and it had everything I loved in it. An Arcade, Mini Golf, Donuts, Ben & Jerry’s, My favorite Hamburger franchise, a place selling fantastic Hungarian style cakes-like-things called Kyortoshes, video game stores, a Jelly Belly section, weird gadget stores with marble runs, and so many more weird fantastic stuff to explore.

It instantly became my favorite place in the entire country and I was constantly looking for ways to refference it in my comics, where I mashed the two megaplexes up into one crime-against-nature behemoth called Cinema Planet. This story is the first time I Ever really got to explore the concept properly. :)
